How do I cancel my Multi Car policy?

We're sorry you're thinking of cancelling your insurance and we’re always here to help if you need us in the future. Before you go, we just want to make you aware of a few other options: 

  • If you've found a better quote elsewhere – let us know on 0333 321 9801. We can discuss all your options and will often be able to find you a better solution. Before you get in touch, please make a note of the excess and any benefits on your other quote so we make sure we’re comparing a like-for-like policy for you. 
  • If you're worried about paying for your insurance – please get in touch on 0333 321 9630. We can talk you through your payment options and may be able to find a solution that works for you (including payment holidays, extensions and partial payments). All conversations are confidential and if it's easier, we can talk to a relative, friend or debt counselling organisation about your account, we'll just need your OK first.
  • If you're moving home, getting a new car or need to make other changes – you might not need to cancel your policy (and potentially pay a cancellation fee). Instead, try updating your current policy details by giving us a call on 0333 321 9801.
  • If you don't want to go ahead with your renewal – just let us know before your renewal date by calling us on 0333 321 9752. We'd love you to stay with us so, if you do get a better quote, call us with the details and we'll see what your options are. 

If you decide to cancel your policy
Please let us know by starting a live chat and telling us there, or you can call us on 0333 321 9801. If you do go ahead and cancel your policy, it’s important to remember the following:
• You’ll lose this year’s no claims discount.
• If you pay monthly, you may have to pay an outstanding balance.
• There will also be a cancellation fee to pay. For more information, please refer to our fees guide.

We'll work out if we owe you any money after deducting the time you've been insured for and any non-refundable fees. We'll then send you a letter confirming your cancellation.

If you need proof of your no claims discount – you'll find it online in our app or MyAccount, where you can download and print it at any time.  
 
Simply log in, go to the ‘Documents’ section and select ‘Request NCD’. A letter with all your NCD information will be uploaded to our app or MyAccount and we'll email you when it's ready to view, which is normally within two hours. Alternatively, you’ll find your no claims discount in your cancellation letter.
