Am I insured to drive another car?
The quickest way to see if you're insured to drive other cars is to check your details page in MyAccount. You’ll also find this information in your Motor Insurance Certificate. It's in the ‘Documents’ section of MyAccount or in any documents you’ve received from us. To download your Motor Insurance Certificate, please log in and go to the ‘Documents’ section.
Your most recent set of documents will have your current Motor Insurance Certificate. These documents might be titled:
- 'Your Welcome Pack'.
- 'Thanks for renewing your policy'.
- 'We've made changes to your policy'.
What driving other cars means for you
If your Motor Insurance Certificate says you're insured to drive other cars, here’s some important information to remember. If you have an accident while driving someone else's car (with their permission), this means you are insured for damage caused to others – this is what’s called a third party claim. You won't be insured for any damage to the car you're driving.
If you need to get in touch after an incident
You can make a claim or report an incident online at our website.
If you’re not covered for driving other cars
If you don`t have driving other cars, then you are not covered to drive another car. This is not a cover we allow customers to add on.
