How do I cancel my policy?

We're sorry you're thinking of cancelling your insurance and we’re always here if you need us in the future. Before you go, we just want to make you aware of a few other options:

If you just want to change your details

You might not need to cancel your policy (and potentially pay a cancellation fee). Instead, you can get a quote for updating your current policy details online.

To find out how to make a change to your policy and get your quote, just follow the simple steps shown in the FAQ ‘How do I make changes to my policy?' which you can find here

You can also give us a call on 0333 321 9679 (our opening hours are here).

If you've had our renewal quote but don't want to renew
We'd love you to stay with us, so if you do get a better quote elsewhere, just call us on 0333 321 9679

If you're worried about paying for your insurance
Please get in touch with our specially trained team. They’ll do everything they can to help and will discuss all your options with you. You’ll find their contact details here

If you still want to cancel or you've found a better quote elsewhere
Please let us know by starting a live chat and telling us there, or you can call us on 0333 321 9679. If it’s about another quote, just make a note of the excess and any benefits on your new quote so we can find you a like-for-like policy.

It’s important to remember that if you cancel:

  • You’ll lose this year’s no claims discount.
  • If you pay monthly, you may have to pay an outstanding balance.
  • There may also be a cancellation fee.

Once we’ve deducted the time you've been insured by us and any non-refundable fees you paid when you bought your policy (such as the arrangement fee), we'll work out if we owe you any money. We'll then send you a confirmation of your cancellation.

Already cancelled? How to find proof of your no claims discount
You can get this in the documents section of MyAccount by choosing ‘Get NCD’. Alternatively, you’ll find it in your cancellation document.
