What’s the difference between courtesy van, and hire van cover?
Courtesy van cover is included as standard if your policy is either:
- Comprehensive
- Third party fire and theft.
This means you will get a replacement van while yours is being repaired after an accident, as long as you use one of our approved repairers.
But you wouldn’t get a courtesy van in the following circumstances:
- Your van is stolen and not recovered.
- Your van is written off (also known as a ‘total loss’) .
- Your repairs aren't carried out by one of our approved repairers.
- You have a third party only policy.
However, if you add hire van cover to your policy then you will get a replacement vehicle in the circumstances mentioned above.
You can find out more about our hire van cover here.
