How do I prove my address for the policy checks?
As long as it includes your name and current address, please send us any of the following documents as your proof:
Dated within the last 12 months
- Council tax statement/bill.
- Electoral roll document or poll card.
- Tenancy or mortgage agreement.
- Department for Work and Pensions or HMRC documents.
- Loan or credit agreement.
- Letter from your GP, such as an appointment letter.
Dated within the last 3 months
- Utility bill such as electricity, gas or water.
- Landline phone or broadband bill.

How to send us this information
You can either:
- Upload your documents or information using our app or MyAccount. Just log in, go to 'Upload Documents' and follow the instructions. We'll then confirm when your documents are uploaded.
- Or attach any files, screenshots or photos and email them to policyinfo@hastingsdirect.com (with your policy number in the subject line). When we've received your documents, we'll let you know we’ve got them.
