Why do I need to send photos of my vehicle
We need to check that your vehicle matches the details on your policy. We also need to make sure it doesn’t have any modifications that aren’t covered.
What kind of photos should I send?
Please make sure they’re:
- Clear and taken in daylight, without shadows or anything blocking important details.
- Taken today or later.
- In colour — we can’t accept black and white images.
- Showing all the angles we asked for in your email.
In every photo, please include your driving licence on or near the vehicle. Just make sure the driving licence is clearly visible and doesn’t block any part of the vehicle.
Prefer to send a video?
You can send a video instead. Just make sure it:
- Shows all the angles we asked for in your email.
- Is steady and taken in good lighting.
- Is under 30 seconds or less than 50MB.
How to send your photos or videos
The easiest way to share this information is by logging in to your account - it should only take a few minutes. Just log in, go to 'Upload Documents' and follow the instructions. We'll then confirm when your documents are uploaded.
Can’t use our app?
No problem. Just email your files, screenshots or photos to policyinfo@hastingsdirect.com (please include your policy number in the subject line) and please keep attachments under 50MB, otherwise we might not receive your message.
