What is courtesy car cover?

Courtesy car cover is included as standard if your policy is either: 

• Comprehensive 
• Third party fire and theft.  

With courtesy car cover, you’ll get a replacement car while yours is being repaired after an accident – as long as you use one of our approved repairers. But you would not get a replacement car in the following circumstances: 

• Your car is stolen and not recovered. 
• Your car is written off (also known as a ‘total loss’).
•  You have a third party only policy. 

However, if you add hire car cover to your policy, then you would get a replacement vehicle in the following circumstances: 

• Your car is stolen and not recovered. 
•  Your car is written off (also known as a ‘total loss’).
• You have a third party only policy.
