Can someone else drive my car?
If the person has ‘Driving other cars’ cover as part of their own car insurance policy, they may drive your car. However, the other person should check their insurance policy to see what they are covered for. With ‘Driving other cars’ cover, they’re only covered for damage caused to other vehicles or property – there’s no cover if your vehicle is damaged while they’re driving your car.
If you have added an individual as a named driver on your car insurance policy, whether temporarily or permanently, they are permitted to drive your car according to the terms of the policy.
